Arisa is a fun and daring character. She has rough past and she continues her reputation until she meets Tohru and her mother. Arisa had heard of Tohru's mother before they had met. Arisa admired her very much and she looked up to her as a role model. When Tohru's mother passed away, Arisa began looking after Tohru, not because of her connection to Tohru's mother though; Arisa had a bond just as strong with Tohru as she did with Tohru's mother.
Uotani (Uo) is tomboy girl and has been nicknamed "Yankee," which is japanese for the 'female gangster.' She was this before she met Tohru; Yankee's wear long skirts, dye their hair and use eyeliner to make their eyebrows noticeable. The most interesting part of Uo's personality is that when things seem to get rough, she somehow always tried to get some fun out of it.
She has fun getting on Kyo's bad, their relastionship is fun and cute because it seems so competitive. To summarize this, Uo-chan is just a wild, fun loving type of girl.
