Akito Sohma

Akito is one of the most intriguing ani-manga characters that I have come across. She is controlling over the Sohma family yet she is physically weak, so beautiful and serene that even birds don't see her as danger as they perch on her finger. She is the center of the Sohma curse as well as the emotional center of the family. No one ever questions her authority. Many dislike Akito and think of her as an evil and selfish person, however, they do not consider that she is the one that suffers most. She is simply passing on her feelings to the others ... feelings of anger, fear and despair. I believe that she inflicts pain on the others because she believes it will save them from an even greater pain. The pain of losing what they love. This is why I believe she broke up relationships in the family...because she feels that they will end in tragedy. Akito is also completely isolated from the world, she does not trust anyone at all and the curse seems to be eating her up inside as she slowly descends in to madness.
